Michelle Williams Says She's Embarrassed By Beyonce's Sexual Album

Michelle Williams is embarrassed over Beyonce's overtly sexual self-titled album.

"I don't know if it's laughter of shyness or embarrassment because … everyone was listening. I'm like, 'That's private girl,'" the former Destiny's Child member told Us Weekly of the surprise album her bandmate released in Dec. "We aren't supposed to know all that."


While Williams supports the project and even appears in Beyonce's "Superpower" music video, she doesn't seem to agree with detailing one's sex life.

"But she is married and has produced a baby, and we know what you have to do to produce a baby so OK!" she added.
The 34-year-old singer career has been a different path from Beyonce's even during their Destiny's Child days. In 2002, Williams released her first solo album "Heart to Yours," which brought her back to her gospel roots. In 2004 she released another gospel album, "Do You Know."

While her solo pop album "Unexpected," released in 2008 wasn't highly successful, Williams has had success in Broadway. She took over for Toni Braxton to star in the musical "Aida" in 2003 and toured with Broadway's "The Color Purple" in 2007.

But despite their separate journey's Williams supports her highly successful former bandmate.

"I love her new album," she said. "I think it's amazing!"
