After years of party hosting and promoting Ciroc vodka whenever possible, Sean (Diddy) Combs is back in the mogul game.
This weekend he launched a gorgeous studio for his music-oriented TV network, Revolt TV, in Hollywood, along with his old pal Mase, Wale and Meek Mill .
Labeled the Harlem-to-Hollywood studio, it’s located in the Hollywood and Highland Center.
“Of course Diddy was a little late for the live performances and made an entrance like a king,” one guest tells Confidenti@l. “He talked to his fans outside the studio in the middle of the street in front of the mall, where there was a huge screen of the live feed. Then he walked up the stairs to the red carpet, gave interviews and then walked inside with Mase.”
Waiting inside the studio was a who’s who of the music world, including Tyga, Tyrese, Vampire Weekend, ASAP Ferg, the Weeknd, Azealia Banks, Eric Bellinger, Rico Love, Chrisette Michele, Bridget Kelly, Silversun Pickups, Sleigh Bells, Thundercat, the Yacht Club and Yo Gotti.
A short time later, Kylie Jenner arrived with Lil Twist . They were “inseparable,” says our tipster.
“I would say they looked more than just friends,” says our party peeper. “She was always behind him, following him to the stage, upstairs in the VIP room, and they left together.”
Around 11 p.m., Diddy moved his roving party to the Belasco Theater, where he took the stage for the Beats Music launch party with Mase and singing a ’90s playlist curated by Jimmy Iovine, Dr. Dre, Trent Reznor and Ian Rogers .
The crowd was also treated to performances by some of the decade’s biggest hip-hop acts, including Ice Cube, Nas, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Redman and Method Man, Cypress Hill, the Geto Boys, Busta Rhymes, Blackstreet, Souls of Mischief and the Pharcyde, with DJ Jazzy Jeff on the turntables and guest host Fab Five Freddy. Eminem showed up for the finale, and the crowd went nuts.
“Everyone in the room was surprised and was screaming and dancing, like Pink, Paul McCartney, Drake, Paris Hilton, Macklemore, Selena Gomez, Zoe Kravitz, Nicole Scherzinger and Queen Latifah.”
Trying to get into the VIP area for that performance were Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger ’s kids Katherine, Christina and Patrick Schwarzenegger, who instead got stuck downstairs sipping cranberry juices.
