Method Man’s Wife Calls Wendy Williams A ‘Circus Freak’

While promoting her new biopic, Williams said in an interview with DJ Suss One last week that during her “coke days” she had helped the Wu-Tang Clan star escape from a club fight, and taken him back to her New Jersey apartment.

She claimed she “smoked a blunt with [him] while I gave him a bath” and that they had a “one-night-stand.”

On Monday, Method Man’s wife, Tamika Smith, released a statement claiming that “for years, I kept my silence while Wendy Williams launched constant verbal attacks against my husband, myself, and our family.”

Calling the alleged broadsides “blatant attempts to provoke us” and claiming that Williams has an “obsession with [their] lives,” she said, “Wendy has proven once again that she is incapable of any decency.”

Smith also claimed that the tale was “an obvious attempt to increase ratings for her sad biopic, her struggling TV show, and her burnt-out career.”

The family has done battle with Williams in the past, notably after she revealed Smith’s cancer diagnosis on air without permission in 2006.

“She didn’t care that she was violating my right to privacy, or that I hadn’t shared the news of my diagnosis with my family and friends yet,” Smith said in Monday’s statement, “She never apologized, never expressed [any] regret whatsoever.”

Smith even mocked William’s 2020 divorce from Kevin Hunter — who left her for another woman — in the tirade. “Her career is on life support, her husband has abandoned her, and the ratings for all of her projects are down,” said Smith. “She’s desperate for attention and is trying to use my husband’s popularity as a way to get her name trending. How sad that a woman who was once revered in the entertainment industry has reduced herself to a tabloid side note and circus freak!”

She finished, “For the record, my marriage is solid, my husband continues to enjoy a successful career, and Wendy will forever be one of the most miserable bitches on the planet.”

The couple have been married for 20 years.
