MEEK MILL "DREAMS & NIGHTMARES" SELLS 167K IN ITS FIRST WEEK!

The numbers are in, and hip-hop has officially owned the number two spot of the prestigious Billboard Top 200 albums chart for the second week in a row. Last week it was Kendrick Lamar's good kid, m.A.A.d city that held the spot, and this week it is Meek Mill's debut album, Dreams & Nightmares, which sold 167,085 in its first week on the market according to Hits Daily Double. That's slightly more than his Maybach Music labelmate Wale, who conquered all doubters when his sophomore album, Ambition, debuted with a little over 163,000 sold nearly a year ago. Just like Kendrick last week, however, Meek fell short of topping the chart due to Taylor Swift's record-breaking album, Red, which reeled in 331,311 in sales during its second week on the market the week.
