Not everyone is thrilled with Kevin Hart’s Hurricane Harvey challenge.
In a series of Instagram videos, the comedian called out several celebrities to donate $25,000 to Hurricane Harvey relief efforts but while many heeded the call, Master P wasn’t too pleased with Hart’s method.
“I’m blessed that Kevin Hart made a donation, but I feel like he [doesn’t] have to do that [challenge],” the 47-year-old rapper told TMZ Wednesday. “It’s not necessary. A lot of people are going to what they want to do. It’s [their] money. We made a … donation but it don’t matter what it is, as long as you give from your heart … I don’t think you have to do that with other people.”
The New Orleans native also warned that mildew growth will become a problem in Houston, similar to the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, which devastated his hometown.
Master P wasn’t the only star to disapprove of Hart’s message. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson also delivered some subtle shade in a video message of his own.
“Kevin Hart, you issued the Hurricane Harvey challenge,” the “Ballers” star said. “I appreciate you, brother. I just donated my $25,000 to the Red Cross, my companies are donating money … I’m not going to call out my celebrity friends. You already know what to do in regards to donating money.”
