Man Impersonating As Sexyy Red’s Manager Arrested Forced Woman To Take Drugs And Sexually Assaulted Her

Vladimir Joseph, who was posing as Sexyy Red’s manager, has been arrested in Miami. The self-identified “promoter” was detained on charges of armed sexual battery and false imprisonment with a weapon. According to local authorities, Joseph met a woman at a Sexyy Red event at Booby Trap on the River strip club back in May. He was driving a gray Lexus while claiming to be the rapper’s manager, “Alexander Beamer.” The 41-year-old later forced the victim to take cocaine at gunpoint at his home. “Take it or I will kill you,” Joseph allegedly said The victim also claimed that Joseph filmed the assault on two cellphones. He reportedly “forced the victim to take a shower and continued sexually assaulting her again.” Afterward, Joseph allegedly ordered a Lyft for the victim following the attack. Due to the ride share details, she was able to identify him —in a police lineup— and the location of the assault. A rape kit was collected and she did test positive for the aforementioned drugs. Joseph turned himself in on Tuesday (Oct. 29). He is currently being held without bond at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
