André 3000 Pays Homage To Erykah Badu At 2024 CFDA Fashion Awards

At the 2024 CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) Awards, Erykah Badu was honored with the Fashion Icon Award. Presenting her with the esteemed accolade was her former partner and current coparent, André 3000. She’s an iconoclast, an outcast, a warrior, rule-breaker, educator, activist, magician, seer, songwriter, singer, mother and a great, great friend. He concluded by expressing, “She makes the world a brighter, more colorful, joyous, committed and meaningful place to be. ”Badu took the stage moments later, first hugging her “Hello” costar, whom she referred to as her “best friend.” She then referenced her hit record, “Tyrone,” when asking the crowd, “Sistas, how y’all feel?
