His show may have been canceled, but George Lopez is stil lable to see the humor in it.

Hours after TBS announced they were pulling the plug on "Lopez Tonight" after just two seasons, the comedian addressed the letdown -- by joking about it.

"In case you haven't heard the news, TBS has decided not to renew 'Lopez Tonight' and tomorrow will be our last night," Lopez told his studio audience, who booed at the news. "The unemployment rate is high, and for Latinos, it just got a little higher!"

Lopez even joked that he was going to take a cue from Charlie Sheen, who was fired from "Two and a Half Men" earlier this year.

"I'm going to buy some crack," he said. "I'm going to get on the pipe! Lose that unwanted 110 pounds I wanted to lose. But I'm taking it good, I'm straight, believe me. I'm fine -- my goddesses are a wreck ... they left me!"

But Lopez does have another beautiful woman to rely on: his longtime friend Sandra Bullock.

After news broke of his cancelation, he told People that he credited the Oscar-winning actress with his success.

"If it wasn't for her involvement in me, or her belief in me, I would have had a very different last 10 years," he said. "She invested in me, and she wouldn't take no for an answer. And with that, and just who she is, she has my undying love, and my undying loyalty. Every day I thank her for believing in me."

Ratings for "Lopez Tonight" waned after TBS switched the show from 11 p.m. to midnight to make room for Conan O'Brien last fall.

The redheaded comedian acknowledged Lopez's sacrifice on "Conan" Wednesday night.

"Had it not been for George being so incredibly supportive of me, I would not have come to TBS and we would not be dong this show right now," said O'Brien.

"I owe that man a lot and frankly, it makes me very sad that TBS and George could not work this out. We understand, believe me, how hard this is for all of you, and we wish you all the best."
