IN THE STREETS & ON THE WEB

This budding thug started out jumping subway turnstiles and is now wanted for hitting a cop with an out-of-nowhere haymaker, giving the officer a concussion, police said Wednesday.
Terrell Montgomery, 18, a welterweight at just 5-feet-6 and 150 pounds, threw the vicious punch about 5:20 p.m. Monday, while the officer was putting two women under arrest in Far Rockaway, Queens.

Cops said the punch was a cheap shot, with Montgomery appearing out of an "unknown direction" and clocking the officer on the left side of his face.

Montgomery, who has just two theft-of-service collars on his record, then scampered away from the scene, at Beach Channel Drive and Dix Ave.

Cops released a mug shot of the punch-and-run perp Wednesday. The unnamed officer was treated at Jamaica Medical Center, cops said.

The two women the officer was arresting were ultimately booked, but police officials would not say what the charges were.
