IN THE STREETS & ON THE WEB

Better call the style police.

Lady Gaga has sculpted her hair to look like a giant telephone receiver in a forthcoming video for a track called - what else? - "Telephone," according to London's Daily Mail.

In this unflinching expression of literalism, La Gaga formed the receiver out of yellow hair extensions.

To top that off, she also dons a giant plastic chef's hat in the clip. (Gaga plays a waitress in a diner in the video).

The track re-teams Gaga with Beyonce, who puts in a cameo here. Last year, Gaga had a guest spot of her own in Beyonce's remix for her song "Video Phone."

Later in the new video, the 23-year-old Gaga sports an American flag bandana and a matching bikini.

The clip, which comes out next month, was inspired by the films of Quentin Tarantino, a source told The Mail. The same source described the rapport between Beyonce and Gaga as "magical."

Earlier this week, Gaga performed a less theatrical version of "Telephone" at London's Brit Awards, a performance she dedicated to her late friend, the fashion designer Alexander McQueen.

That night, Gaga went on to win best international female artist, best international breakthrough act and best international album for "The Fame."
