The rapper, who changed his stage name to Boosie Badazz, has been diagnosed with kidney cancer, he revealed Wednesday on Instagram.
"I need all my fans to pray for me," the 33-year-old rapper, whose real name is Torrence Hatch, wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post.
"Doctor just told me I have cancer on my kidneys," he posted in the caption alongside a snap of himself looking down at a breakfast table. "Prayer is power that's why I'm letting the world know prayfaboosie."
Boosie's PR team had him take down the caption, TMZ reported.
The "Retaliation" rapper has had his fair share of personal troubles. In March 2014, he was released from prison after serving five years in the Lousiana State Penitentiary for marijuana possession and probation violation.
While serving his sentence, he was acquitted on murder charges stemming from the death of a Baton Rouge man in 2002.
The Louisiana rapper has also been battling diabetes for years and fell ill onstage during a May 2015 performance in New York City after he reportedly didn't take his diabetes medications.
