Rapper Lil B was forced to cancel his set at the Rolling Loud Bay Area Festival after he was allegedly "violently jumped" by fellow rapper A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and his crew.
The 28-year-old rapper — born Brandon McCartney — took to the Mountain View, Calif. stage Saturday night and told the crowd that his attackers "beat me up in the back" and stole all of his equipment, leaving him unable to perform.
"I don't promote violence, I'm never with the violence," he said. "So I love them and it's all good, you feel me?"
Lil B explained that the altercation happened after he "said something about Boogie's music" that angered the rapper and his pals.
A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, 21, is a Bronx-based artist who released his debut album in September on Atlantic Records.
Multiple fan videos capturing the incident were uploaded to Twitter, where Lil B retweeted them, insisting that he forgives his attackers.
The rapper — who also goes by TheBasedGod — is known for spreading messages of positivity and acceptance across his social media channels.
The music festival's headlining act, Travis Scott, shared some brief words in defense of Lil B during his own set.
"Protect Lil B at all f--king costs," said Scott, who is currently expecting a baby with Kylie Jenner.
