Katt Williams Facing $1M Lawsuit For Allegedly Beating Female Assistant

Katt Williams got slapped with a $1 million assault and battery lawsuit that claims he roughed up a female assistant on a movie set.

Angela Triplett-Hill filed her claim in federal court in Los Angeles Wednesday saying Williams flew into a "violent rage" in September 2014 and unleashed an attack that put her in the hospital.

Triplett-Hill claims she was working for Williams during a production shoot on a Los Angeles baseball field when she incurred his wrath by walking away to take a personal phone call.

When she returned, Williams "angrily ordered" her into a vehicle, "violently lunged" at her and snatched her cell phone from her hands, the lawsuit obtained by the Daily News states.

Triplett-Hill alleges she became extremely frightened because she "previously witnessed Williams violently beat other women in her presence."

The filing claims Williams cursed at Triplett-Hill, repeatedly calling her a bitch.

"I'm not a bitch. Katt, you and I know you are bigger than that," Triplett-Hill responded, according to the complaint.

The statement only made Williams angrier, and he "violently" struck her in the face, the lawsuit claims.

Triplett-Hill says the alleged attack caused her to fall, slam her head on the concrete and lose consciousness.

A witness called for help, and Triplett-Hill was rushed to Santa Monica UCLA hospital, where she was treated for four days, the lawsuit says.

The physical injuries and "hostile work environment" caused by Williams made it impossible for Triplett-Hill to return to the job, and she's suffered lost employment and emotional distress as well, the filing states.

Attempts to reach a rep for Williams were not immediately successful Thursday.

The lawsuit surfaced the same day the comedian was due for arraignment on a single count of misdemeanor battery involving an alleged attack on a female staffer at a Los Angeles hotel last month.

The arraignment got pushed out two weeks to Aug. 31, a court source said.

The incident, first reported by TMZ.com, involved a female employee at the Sportsmen's Lodge hotel in Los Angeles.

Williams allegedly felt disrespected by the woman and punched her, the website said.

When cops responded, they reportedly saw visible but minor injuries on the staffer and took Williams into custody. He was released on $20,000 bail, jail records show.

The stand-up star, 44, has faced similar allegations before.

He was accused of attacking a Georgia shopkeeper in February inside a Gainesville pool store.

He later told TMZ the store worker caused the confrontation by accusing him of stealing and dropping a racial slur.

If convicted of his latest criminal charge, he could face up to six months in county jail.
