Karrueche Tran Reveals Why She Got A Restraining Order Against Chris Brown

Karrueche Tran said she felt unsafe with ex Chris Brown and that is why she sought a restraining order.

The 29-year-old actress and model said on Hot 97’s “Ebro in the Morning” on Thursday that she obtained the restraining order against the R&B star in June because she felt unsafe.

She was asked why she felt the restraining order was necessary and she replied, “for my safety, yeah” and confirmed she was really afraid, but would not state specific concerns.

“There’s no drama or anything like that I do have the RO in place it’s all good vibes ... we live our own lives and that’s how we move,” she said.

“I live in L.A. I'm from L.A. So I move around how I wanna move, you know what I'm saying? So that's what I felt that I needed,” Tran continued.

Tran was awarded the restraining order in June after she said Brown menaced her following their split and demanded she return diamond rings and other items he gifted her during the course of their relationship.

He reportedly texted her saying, “Bitch I will beat the s--t out of you” and wrote in another message, “If I see you out in public again and I'm there I will make you hate me even more, don't be anywhere I'm out in public, I'm going to ban you from all events.”

The order came months after Tran received an emergency stay-away order after she claimed Brown punched her in the stomach and pushed her down the stairs.

The 28-year-old “Run It” singer was not in court and not allowed to join by phone.

Tran and Brown dated on and off between 2011 and 2015, but officially called it quits after it was revealed Brown had a child with model, Nia Guzman, in 2014.
