Kanye West stunned fans – and perhaps even Rihanna herself – when he plucked the Barbadian vocalist out of the audience to play a pair of songs at his FYF Fest performance in Los Angeles Saturday.
The popular songstress hopped on stage to perform "FourFiveSeconds" and "All of the Lights" with the West, eliciting a roar from the unsuspecting fans.
It's unclear if Rihanna, who was sitting in the front row of the concert, had actually planned to join the polarizing rapper onstage all along, but the "Diamonds" singer appeared legitimately flustered as she embraced the spotlight.
"L.A., make some noise for my n----- Kanye!" she yelled to the crowd, laughing as she held her mic out.
West was a late addition to the southern California music festival, only joining the bill on Thursday after previously scheduled headliner Frank Ocean dropped out.
"We're really sorry that due to a scheduling conflict beyond our control, Frank Ocean is not going to be able to appear at FYF Festival as planned," Ocean's reps said days before the festival. "Frank had really been looking forward to the performance and to seeing all of his fans, so it is with great regret that we announce this cancellation."
Yeezy made sure not to disappoint the thousands of fans on hand, however, as he played a bevy of hits during his hour-long performance.
He also paid tribute to Ocean by opening his set with their 2011 collaboration "No Church in the Wild."
