Crushed metal and broken glass was all that was left Monday morning as dazed car owners discovered the destruction left by thousands of Kayne West fans outside Manhattan’s Webster Hall.
“I feel sick right now,” said Michael Gomez, as he surveyed the cracked windshield and dented roof on his Chrysler Pacifica.
Throngs of Yeezy followers flocked to the music venue early Monday morning after he promised a surprise concert hours after his Governor’s Ball set was rained out.
But the Webster Hall show was cancelled because of crowds.
Police said about 4,000 people gathered outside the hall on East 11th St. The concert hall can only accommodate 1,500 people.
Cops said there was one arrest - a 26-year-old woman for disorderly conduct.
Friends Monica Santiago, Albert Baliwas and Jasmine Tan tried to get into the failed surprise show. They said the line outside Webster Hall was orderly around 1 a.m. but the situation deteriorated as more people arrived “No one was jumping on cars or stamping, they just wanted a higher ground,” said Baliwas, 23, who lives in Brooklyn.
“It was a chaotic mess,” added Tan, 22. “It was intense but it was fun.”
