Kanye Donates $1 Mllion To Prison Reform Charities

Kanye West outdid himself for his wife’s birthday.

The “Jesus Is King” rapper celebrated Kim Kardashian‘s birthday in Palm Springs over the weekend with her family and surprised her with “the most amazing bags,” but those weren’t her favorite birthday gifts. West also donated $1 million to charities that focus on prison reform.

“I got amazing gifts from my whole family and Kanye for me the most amazing bags. But he also donated $1 million to my favorite charities that work so hard on prison reform on my behalf from him and the kids,” she tweeted late Monday. “This makes my heart so happy!”

Kourtney Kardashian lauded West’s gift, commenting, “Kanye has the most generous heart, it is inspiring.”

She included a certificate West, 42, had made that revealed which charities he chose: Cut 50, Buried Alive Project, Equal Justice Initiative and the Anti-Recidivism Coalition.

Kim has dedicated a lot of her time advocating for criminal justice reform and has seen success in helping various prisoners released, including Momolu Stewart and Alice Marie Johnson.
