Juice Wrld Sued For $15 Million By Rock Band Yellowcard

Juice WRLD has been sued by the pop punk band Yellowcard, The Blast and Billboard report. The band, which broke up in 2017, claims that his “Lucid Dreams” copied melodic elements of their song “Holly Wood Died” without permission. Yellowcard’s members are seeking $15 million, royalties, and co-ownership of the song.

In addition to Juice WRLD, Yellowcard have also sued “Lucid Dreams” co-writer Taz Taylor, producer Nicholas Mira, publisher BMG Rights Management, record label Grade A Productions, Interscope Records, and more. The lawsuit cites an interview where Juice WRLD discussed his appreciation of Fall Out Boy’s 2005 album From Under the Cork Tree—an album that was produced by “Holly Wood Died” producer Neal Avron.
