Juice WRLD celebrates his first No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart as “Lucid Dreams” climbs 3-1 on the list dated Oct. 6. The track makes an identical move to also crown the Hot Rap Songs chart for the first time.
“Dreams” advances as it retakes the No. 1 position on the R&B/Hip-Hop Streaming Songs chart and (all-genre Streaming Songs chart) for a second total week. The track gained 5 percent to 41.6 million U.S. clicks in the week ending Sept. 27, according to Nielsen Music.
Radio airplay also fuels the song’s ascent on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs, though its popularity derives more from its pop and rhythmic success than through R&B and hip-hop channels. “Dreams” ranks at No. 13 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay tally, and dips 5 percent to 15.5 million in audience in the week ending Sept. 30, according to Nielsen Music. The track, however, bumps 10-9 on the all-genre Radio Songs chart (63.9 million in audience), helped by its performance with pop and rhythmic audiences; “Dreams” steps 3-2 on Rhythmic Songs airplay chart as it grows 6 percent in weekly plays and concurrently enters the top 10 of the Pop Songs airplay chart thanks to a 15 percent jump in plays in the week.
“Dreams” also rebounds 7-5 on R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales despite a 5 percent clip to 11,000 sold in the week ending Sept. 27, per Nielsen Music.
