A federal judge has issued an arrest warrant for The Game, holding him in contempt of court for failing to appear for a hearing in his sexual assault case.
The rapper lost a sexual assault lawsuit nearly two years ago to Priscilla Rainey, a contestant on his VH1 reality show “She’s Got Game” and was ordered to pay her $7 million. Game claims he is trying to get his financial information in order to hand over the amount to Rainey and has asked the judge to allow his attorney to represent him at a hearing, according to court documents obtained by The Blast.
Game says he has contractual obligations this month including his appearance on the final stretch of “Nick Cannon Presents: Wild ‘N Out Live” and cannot make the hearing. The warrant has been stayed until this Friday to allow time for the rapper to appear in court before U.S. marshals come to escort him to the appearance, according to The Blast.
Rainey claims in her 2015 lawsuit that the rapper forcefully reached inside her dress to rub her bare vagina and buttocks, resulting in the $7 million jury decision. She claims he has yet to pay a dime.
