JANET JACKSON SAY'S SHE NEVER WANTED TO BE IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY JOE JACKSON MADE HER DO IT!

Janet Jackson says she’s finally getting a chance to live out her acting dreams. The pop superstar will appear in her third Tyler Perry film, “For Colored Girls,” next month and says she’s looking forward to tackling more film projects.
Speaking on Monday’s edition of ABC’s “The View,” Janet said she had no plans to abandon her music career, but is currently focused on expanding her skills as an actress. Jackson said, quote,

“I’m just really living out a dream that I’ve had…I never really wanted to be in music. I’m not complaining because it’s been very good to me. But I did it because my father wanted me to.”

Jackson has also appeared in Tyler Perry’s “Why Did I Get Married?” and “Why Did I Get Married Too?” Due out on November 5th, “For Colored Girls” also stars Whoopi Goldberg, Phylicia Rashad, Kerry Washington, Loretta Devine, Anika Noni Rose, Thandie Newton, and Kimberly Elise.
Sporting a new short hairstyle, Janet told the ladies of “The View” that she felt liberated with her cropped ‘do. She also shared that she was working on a new book about self esteem and weight loss targeted toward young people. Jackson says she hopes to release the book in January. When asked how the children of her late brother, pop superstar Michael Jackson, were doing following his death last year, Janet offered that “all” of her nieces and nephews were doing well.
