Jada Pinkett-Smith better brush up on her legalese.
The actress will star and produce a new ABC crime drama entitled "Murder Town."
She’ll play a sassy lawyer who makes history by becoming Wilmington, Delaware's first black district attorney.
The show will be written by Barry Schindel ("Law & Order", "Numb3rs") and is based on a script from "How to Get Away with Murder" executive producer Rob Fresco.
Pinkett’s last time on the small screen was on FOX’s "Gotham."
In May, the 44-year-old hinted in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter that she'd be open to returning to television.
"[I'd] be down to [find]a character who makes me want to go to work everyday, but I'd absolutely do more television. I love the pace of television. TV is so different from movies because of the pace. I think that people who survive doing TV can survive anything."
Last December, Newsweek magazine named Wilmington, "Murdertown, USA” citing its high crime rate.
