Ice Cube Says He Would Never Diss Paul Walker

Ice Cube has come under fire for comments he made about losing the MTV Movie Award for Best On-screen Duo to Paul Walker and Vin Diesel.

The rapper-turned-actor apparently said he and Kevin Hart, stars of the nominated flick "Ride Along," were "robbed" of the fan-elected duo award that ultimately went to the "Fast & Furious" pair Sunday night.

"Shame on you, MTV" Ice Cube, 44, whose real name is O'Shea Jackson, reportedly said after the show, speaking to USA Today.

On social media, fans of Walker, who died in November in a fiery car crash, expressed outrage at Ice Cube's comments.

The "Barbershop" actor eventually had to clarify that he didn't mean any disrespect to the action star.

"I wasn't really mad we didn't win," Ice Cube tweeted Monday. "So I would never diss the actors who won. Not even Paul Walker. Seriously people!"

But later he tweeted a different tune — this time suggesting that his issue is with giving out posthumous awards out of sympathy.

"We should honor people before they die," he wrote, saying "that's all" he meant. Ending his rant, Ice Cube clarified that he "was a fan" of Walker, too.

In the category, the “Fast & Furious” stars also beat out all Oscar-nominated duos from “American Hustle,” “Dallas Buyers Club” and “The Wolf of Wall Street.”

Any other outcome might have ticked off the NWA rapper. Shortly before the MTV show, Ice Cube tweeted that he was determined to end the night with a golden popcorn statue.

"If me and Kevin Hart don't win, the fix is in,” he wrote.
