Hip-hop producer AraabMuzik might have 9 lives — he was shot and wounded in Harlem Thursday night, his second such brush with death, police sources said.
AraabMuzik, born Abraham Orellana, 26, was recovering Friday at Harlem Hospital, where he underwent surgery after getting shot in the jaw and right arm. He was also grazed in the head.
A friend of his, James Malloy, 32, who is on parole for conspiracy, was shot in the right leg and is in stable condition at St. Luke’s Hospital.
The victims were shot inside the ProPark America parking garage on W. 125th St. about 7 p.m.
Source said AraabMuzik and Malloy had just left another friend’s home and went to the garage, where the producer got behind the wheel of his friend’s BMW.
As he and Malloy headed to the exit, two men approached the driver’s side, then one of the suspects tricked AraabMUZIk into thinking he had dropped something.
Shortly after rolling down the window, shots were fired.
Sources said police recovered 3 .380 caliber shell casings.
The suspects appear to have take a livery cab to the scene, then fled on foot.
AraabMuzik in May 2013 was shot in his native Providence, Rhode Island during an apparent attempted robbery.
He first made his mark showcasing his life beats and drum machine instrumentals on the Internet and has work with Cam’ron, Busta Rhymes and Fabolous, among others.
