Schoolkids visiting the Dallas Zoo found out the hard way — when a taunted great ape gave them the fright of their lives.
Cell phone footage shows children screaming and mocking the 400-pound animal through the protective glass.
"You ugly," screams out one boy, as the gorilla stares him down.
With the noise escalating, the excitable youngsters make monkey gestures at their new friend.
But when someone points a finger, the beast suddenly acts — pressing his hands and face to the glass to spook the little ones back.
With the tables firmly turned, the group jumps and descends into silence. The gorilla walks away. Footage of the incident, which happened two months ago, was uploaded to YouTube and has since gone viral with more than 300,000 views.
