Glee Star Naya Rivera Says Big Sean Wears The Pants In Their Relationship

Naya Rivera is gleefully taking charge of her life. But she gladly lets her fiancé Big Sean wear the "pants" in their relationship.

"I think he's going to be an amazing husband, and he'll make a great father someday," she told Cosmopolitan for Latinas' spring issue. "He's so kind to people, but he also wears the pants in our relationship, which I love."

The 27-year-old "Glee" star boasted about her strength and the ability to get what she wants out of life. Still, she knows her place when it comes to her rapper beau whose real name is Sean Michael Anderson.





"We Latinas are very independent and strong," she continued. "So it's even sweeter that I've found somebody who can let me out of that role for a minute."

Playing the part of a self-reliant superwoman is nothing new for Rivera, even during some of the less glamorous moments in her life.





"I was very resourceful when it came to getting a job. I was the ultimate liar on a resume," she confessed.

"At the tender age of 19, I said I had a bachelor's degree; they never checked!" Rivera added. "Even when I didn't have much, I always acted as if I had everything I wanted."

The half-Puerto Rican beauty credits her Latin roots for her grit.


"Latin women are go-getters by nature," she said. "We have a certain charm and finesse that gets us what we want."

Something Rivera still wants is the ability to speak Spanish fluently. While she understands the language, she admitted she's not comfortable speaking her native tongue.

"It sucks because I have no one (to speak Spanish) to, but it's something I need to learn when I have kids," she professed. "They need to be fluent."

But the language of love needs no words and Rivera insists she's fluent in that area of her life


"Latinas are really great nurturers who are great to our men," she said. "We love hard and we love to cook."

While Rivera has a lot brewing in her career and impending wedding they're not the only things she's concentrating on.

"The other morning I woke up and was like, 'I need china -- this table needs to be set all the time!'" she recalled. "Focusing on those things is where I'm at right now."
