Evelyn Lozada & Fiancé Carl Crawford Expecting A Baby Boy

Is it a slam dunk or homerun for Evelyn Lozada, who revealed she is having a baby boy?

The "Basketball Wives" star is expecting a son with her Los Angeles Dodgers fiancé Carl Crawford and she's thanking the heavens for it.

"Surprisingly, I found out when I had my first trimester screening," she told People. "I was about 13 weeks when they told me the sex. I was honestly praying for a boy. I have wanted to have a son for years."

Lozada's first born from a previous relationship is 20-year-old daughter Shaniece who was by her mother's side when the baby's gender was revealed.

"We were both so happy. There are all girls on my side, so this will be our first boy. My family is over the moon," Lozada, who is due in March, told the mag. "Every time I go to the doctor, I have them check to make sure it's a boy. I'm still in disbelief!"

Many were in disbelief when rumors surfaced in late November that the VH1 star was pregnant and it wasn't by her ex-husband Chad Johnson.

At the time, Crawford's identity had not been exposed but sources close to her told TMZ she had been in a relationship with a man for nearly a year and they had become serious.

Shortly after the rumors began, Lozada was spotted walking on a beach in Kona, Hawaii with her daughter who gently placed her hand on her mom's baby bump.

"Shaniece is just happy that she can still be the princess of the family," she added. "Her brother is already her BFF in her head."

While Lozada has a lot to celebrate with a baby boy on the way and a wedding to plan, there's one thing she's not so certain of … the child's name.

"Carl and I have a few in mind, but having decided yet," she said.

Lozada revealed on Christmas day that she was engaged to Crawford and showed off her $1.4 million ring.

Before his identity was reported, Johnson boasted about buying the unborn child expensive gifts and said "the father doesn't matter."

"(I'm) super happy for her, I will always love her and wish her nothing but the best," he told TMZ Sports at the time. "I have unisex Louboutin infant spikes ready as my gift."

Lozada and Johnson's brief marriage ended in 2012 when he allegedly head-butted her during an argument. She filed for divorce three days later.
