Frank Ocean Releases New Music With Visual Album 'Endless' On Apple Music

Frank Ocean has finally hit a happy note with his impatient fans.

After painfully teasing music for the past year, the R&B star returned to his highly-monitored live-stream on Thursday night and surprised viewers with never-before-heard tracks — but they weren't a part of his long-awaited sophomore album, "Boys Don't Cry."

Instead, the 28-year-old dropped 16 songs as part of his 45-minute-long visual album, "Endless," which was later released exclusively via Apple music.

Meanwhile, Apple Music confirmed "Boys Don't Cry" will drop sometime this weekend, but it is reported that Ocean decided on a different title.

In the bizarre black-and-white video for "Endless", Ocean mysteriously worked on a stair-like sculpture without addressing the camera.

Loyal followers of the "Thinking Bout You" singer have anxiously been waiting for his follow-up to his 2012 debut album, "Channel Orange." The critically acclaimed work fetched a whopping six Grammy awards.

Ocean seemed to hint his highly anticipated second record would be released this past month after he shared a cryptic image of a piece of paper that read "Due Date" and included the words "July 2016."

But, July came and went with Ocean never changing the due date and leading fans to stalk his livestream for any clues. He failed to deliver again when a New York Times story reported his second album would drop via Apple Music on Aug. 5.

Speculation had since swirled that the album wouldn't come out until November.

Earlier this week, producer Malay Ho addressed the outrage on behalf of Ocean, who is notoriously private.

"To be fair tho, art cannot be rushed. It's about making sure the perfect aesthetic for the situation has been reached, to do that, takes constant tweaking, trial and error," Ho wrote in a Reddit AMA on Tuesday.

Despite the dreaded wait, fans quickly seemed to forgive Ocean as they dissected his new soulful songs early Friday. Within an hour of the odd livestream, the artist was trending on Twitter.

"Frank Ocean changing the music industry over night," one fan tweeted.

"That was extremely beautiful. God bless Frank Ocean," another wrote.
