Floyd Mayweather Responds To Being Called Out By Adrien Broner

Adrien Broner didn't waste any time savoring his win against Ashley Theophane, a fighter promoted by his former friend, Floyd Mayweather, on Friday night's Premier Boxing Champions card.

After the ninth-round TKO, Broner told Spike TV, via ESPN.com, that Mayweather "has to come see" him in the ring after the two traded words through the media over the past week.

The thing is, Mayweather not only is retired, but he didn't take Broner's challenge too seriously as he spoke with FightHype.com:

This all began in the week leading up to the fight when Broner called Mayweather Promotions "Hateweather Promotions," to which Mayweather went at the 32-2 boxer when speaking with FightHype.com, via Brian Campbell of ESPN.com:

He said 'Hateweather Promotions,' so I'm still trying to find out what the AB stands for. 'Always Broke?' We know he ain't never seen eight figures or nine figures. He has barely ever seen seven figures. It could be safe to say that one of my cars cost more than he made his whole career.

This looks like a beef that will have to be settled somewhere other than the ring. The 49-0 retired Mayweather shouldn't find much temptation to put on the gloves to face a boxer who's going through legal troubles and might not reel in the most money.

Broner has two outstanding warrants for his arrest in the state of Ohio for aggravated robbery and felony assault, according to ESPN.com's Dan Rafael.
