Flavor Flav And Chuck D Still Battling Over Bernie Sanders Benefit Concert

Bernie Sanders may be struggling to unify the Democratic party — but he’s doing a world-class job of splitting up Public Enemy.

Hip-hop legend Flavor Flav isn’t taking being fired from Public Enemy over a fight about presidential hopeful Sanders lying down. Undecided voter Flav lost it on Monday after he was booted from the band for slapping the Sanders campaign with a cease-and-desist letter late Friday after it announced the “Fight the Power” group would perform at a rally in Los Angeles.

But it turned out Chuck D and Public Enemy Radio were actually headlining Sanders’ rally — without Flav.

So on Sunday the group — the self-proclaimed “Rolling Stones of Rap” — said in a statement, “Public Enemy and Public Enemy Radio will be moving forward without Flavor Flav. We thank him for his years of service and wish him well.”

On Monday, Flav — who insists he is yet to endorse a 2020 candidate — was still up for a fight, ranting on Twitter, amid a hail of commas, “@MrChuckD are you kidding me right now???,,,over Bernie Sanders??? You wanna destroy something we’ve built over 35 years OVER POLITICS???,,,all because I don’t wanna endorse a candidate,,,I’m very disappointed in you and your decisions right now Chuck,,,” Flav continued in his Twitter rant, “And @MrChuckD,,,i didn’t sue you on Friday,,,i asked the @berniesanders campaign to correct misleading marketing,,,that’s all it was,,,I’m not your employee,,,i’m your partner,,,you can’t fire me,,,there is no Public Enemy without Flavor Flav,,,so let’s get it right Chuck,,,”

However, Chuck would not have Twitter believe the hype and fired back, “If there was a $bag, Flav would’ve been there front & center. He will NOT do free benefit shows. Sued me in court the 1st time I let him back in. His ambulance lawyer sued me again on Friday & so now he stays home & better find REHAB.”

This left Flav continuing to rebel without a pause, responding, “Also @MrChuckD,,,i’m not on drugs like you’re saying and have been clean for 10 years,,,i have battled addiction before and like millions of other Americans I know the massive toll it takes,,,Chuck you know better than to lie about shit like that,,,,”
