A 16-year-old student was stabbed in the neck during a confrontation outside a Bronx school Wednesday morning, authorities said.
The boy was jumped while walking to PS 12 Lewis and Clark School at 8:45 a.m., police said.
The victim collapsed in a pool of blood on Tratman Ave. as horrified onlookers called 911, police said.
The student, who was alert and conscious when loaded into an ambulance, was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center. He is in serious condition, officials said.
The boy is a 10th-grader at the Westchester Square school, which serves specials needs students.
Witnesses told police they saw two teens running toward nearby Zerega Ave. after the stabbing.
No arrests have been made.
