Chris Rock will be laughing all the way to the bank.
Netflix is set to pay the funny some serious money - a record $40 million - for two standup comedy specials, sources told the Hollywood Reporter.
That's a huge coup for the streaming service considering Rock had a long-running relationship with HBO, which previously aired the "SNL" veteran's "Bigger & Blacker" and "Never Scared" specials.
Rock also earned an Emmy nomination for directing Amy Schumer's comedy special for HBO last year.
That the specials will air on Netflix also allows Rock to keep the language appropriately salty.
"I don't want to say I'm dirty, but I'm an edgy guy," Rock told the Daily News about his standup in 2014.
"I'm not the guy you're going to see on CBS at 8 o'clock."
The first special is expected to tape in 2017, after Rock wraps up a comedy tour, according to THR.
"Chris Rock is a beloved actor and director, and his remarkable stand-up makes him comic royalty,” Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos said in a statement.
“ There is no one like him.”
