Bedeviled Chris Brown has been denied entry to Japan over allegations that he pulled a gun on an ex-beauty queen last month, according to a report.
Japanese authorities refused to issue a work visa to the R&B singer — who planned to travel east for two Tokyo gigs on Monday and Tuesday — because of his assault with a deadly weapon charge, TMZ reported Thursday.
A statement on the ticket vendor’s website confirmed that Brown’s Japan shows had been postponed due to a “logistical Visa issue,” with refunds available to fans.
The apparent visa snafu echoes similar flaps last year in Canada and Australia, from where the singer was denied entry over factors related to his assault of ex-girlfriend Rihanna.
Brown, 27, was arrested Aug. 30 after a dramatic, hours-long standoff at his California mansion with police, who said he’d threatened former pageant star Baylee Curran at gunpoint.
Curran, 24, told The News at the time that Brown had pointed a firearm at her and told her to “get the f--k out of the house” after she admired a necklace during a party at his house.
The singer was booked on the felony charge and later released on $250,000 bail.
Curran’s ex-associates have questioned the credibility of her allegations. Brown’s lawyer Mark Geragos, meanwhile, claims to be in possession of two text messages allegedly sent by Curran that suggest a “setup” if authenticated.
Brown was due to appear at an arraignment on Tuesday, TMZ reported this week, but the court date was pushed back 15 days so that law enforcement could complete the investigation.
The singer is currently selling $38 T-shirts emblazoned with the message “This B---h Lyin’” through his clothing line, Black Pyramid. The back of the shirt bears a cartoon of a crying blond woman’s face.
First Australia, now Japan …… They don't want him pimpin' all over the world ……..
