CHARLES OAKLEY SUING CASINO FOR SECURITY GUARD BEAT DOWN!

Former NBA bad boy Charles Oakley sued a Las Vegas resort after he claims he was attacked in a "gang-style beat down" by security guards in May 2010.

Attorneys for the 47-year-old former Knick filed suit against the Aria hotel-casino at MGM Resorts International's CityCenter Complex last week, the Las Vegas Sun reported.

The lawsuit claims that the Charlotte Bobcats assistant coach was an invited guest at the resort's VIP pool area after having participated in Michael Jordan's Celebrity Invitational golf fundraiser.

The trouble began when he left the area and then was refused re-entry by the resort's security staff.

After arguing with the security staff, Oakley alleged he attempted to go back to his room - which is when, he claimed, he was attacked by security guards in a secluded area of the resort, tackled and beaten. The suit contends he was so severely beaten he had to be taken to the hospital. Nicole Tucker, an executive casino host at Caesar's Palace tweeted out pictures that seem to support that claim, with Oakley pictured wearing a brace on his arm.

"Oak got jumped not once but twice by security ... wow," she tweeted.

Oakley's seeking unspecified general, special and punitive damages from Aria.

The spokesperson for Aria told the AP they don't comment on pending litigation.

Oakley, a 6-foot-9, 245 pound former power forward, had a 19 year playing career.

After he hung up his jersey, he went into coaching and is now an assistant for the Bobcats.
