Carmelo Anthony went stag to his birthday party at Greenhouse on Friday morning. With his wife, LaLa Vazquez, in L.A., the Knick arrived at the SoHo club around 1:30 and hung out in front of the deejay booth, where he rapped along to the Notorious B.I.G.'s "Going Back to Cali" and other rap hits. The News' Michael Feeney reports the hoopster was joined by Swizz Beatz and fellow Knick Toney Douglas at the low-key bash, where the cake was made to look like his jersey and the waitresses wore replicas of Anthony's No. 7 tank. Livening things up were four Marines who arrived at the club in uniform, and quickly attracted a swarm of women. The dashing soldiers tossed back Coronas - which sponsored Anthony's party - and danced to Fabolous' "You Be Killin' Em."
