He's gone from "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" to the king of the ballroom.
Actor Alfonso Ribeiro and his pro-partner Witney Carson waltzed away with the Mirror Ball Trophy on Tuesday night's season finale of "Dancing With the Stars."
They narrowly edged out second place couple Sadie Robertson, the 17-year-old scion of the "Duck Dynasty" clan, and her partner Derek Hough.
"God, I've wanted this forever," said an emotional Ribeiro, 43, as the confetti rained down on him during the closing minutes of the show.
Producers billed the night as the closest night in the show's nineteen-season history - but that largely was due to a void of marquee names on the ABC dancing competition.
But what the show lacked in star-power, it made up for in intriguing storylines this season. Finishing in third was "Pretty Little Liars" star Janel Parrish and her pro-partner Valentin Chmerkovskiy, whose romantic chemistry was so palpable they left gossip magazines wondering if they were destined to be life partners off the ballroom floor.
