Bronx Woman Arrested For Stealing Earrings From A Baby At A Day Care Center

A Bronx woman was arrested Wednesday for taking earrings from a baby, officials said.

Desire Santiago, a resident of Trinity Ave., was charged with grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property for taking a pair of hoop earrings from an 18-month-old girl at a Hunts Point day care center on Dec. 5, police said.


When the child returned home without the earrings, her mother called police, officials said.

Surveillance footage from the day care center showed Santiago, 21, removing the earrings from the victim, officials said.
