Lil Wayne clocked a nightclub bouncer after Sunday’s BET Awards, according to a battery report filed with Los Angeles police.
Weezy and 2 Chainz hosted an after-party at Hyde nightclub, but things went sour when some of the “Lollipop” rapper’s crew got turned away at the door, according to TMZ.
The 33-year-old — whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. — allegedly argued with the doorman before slugging him in the face.
Wayne later denied the punch, claiming the unnamed staffer worked in the VIP section all night.
Sources told the gossip site that the bouncer accidentally grabbed Wayne by the arm without realizing who he was. He later apologized.
The bouncer went to the hospital, but police told the Daily News they couldn’t confirm any injuries.
“A battery report was taken and there is an ongoing investigation,” an LAPD spokeswoman said.
