Bono Disses Diddy At The Golden Globes Awards

If looks could kill, Diddy would probably be six feet under. The music mogul was snubbed by Bono after presenting an award to U2 at Sunday's Golden Globes.

While the rock star appeared to enjoy his make-out session with Amy Poehler, he didn't seem so keen on hugging Diddy, who was having a bit too much fun on stage.

"Everybody just keep drinking, OK?" the 44-year-old hip-hop artist told the audience. "It'll be over soon."

Standing alongside fellow presenters Usher and Kate Beckinsale, Diddy had a good time smiling, laughing, joking and even yelling into the mic as if he were hosting one of his outlandish parties.

When he announced U2's "Ordinary Love" from "Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom" won for Best Original Song he shouted into the mic, "Let's goooo!"

As the band stepped on the stage, Diddy gave congratulatory embraces to all the members, but when reaching out to Bono, 53, the singer gave him a quick pat on the back and kept it moving to the mic.


Bono's serious demeanor may have been a reflection of the importance of receiving the award shortly after Nelson Mandela's passing.

"This really is personal, very, very personal," he told the audience. "This man turned our life upside down, right side up. A man who refused to hate, but he thought love would do a better job.

Before that, the three presenters named the nominees for Best Original Score for which Alex Ebert, 35, of the band Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros won.

As Diddy congratulated Ebert on his award he suddenly recognized him saying, "He was on a boat with me, partying in St. Barts. And now, here we are together!"

Ebert recalled the party Diddy was referring to and added, "He came up from behind me and unbuttoned my jacket and said, 'Let it flow!'"
