A Daytona Beach woman was busted after taking a 8-month-old boy on a wild ride in the back of a pickup truck, sitting alongside his stroller as they rolled al fresco through heavy traffic, police said.

Keyona Davis, who had a long rap sheet, was locked up for child abuse after several calls to 911 reported she was riding shotgun in the truck bed with the baby boy.

The arresting officer said the 23-year-old babysitter should have realized it was a "highly dangerous situation and incredibly unsafe" for an 8-month-old, according to documents uncovered by The Smoking Gun website.

The infant's mother "was in tears as I told her about the incident," the arresting officer wrote in his report. The end of the ride was captured on videotape by a police cruiser.

Tiny Terrence was tossed into the back of the 1994 Dodge Ram on Wednesday afternoon, with Davis jumping into the truck bed with the boy. There was no explanation for her decision not to use a car seat - or even just to sit inside the truck.

Police followed the truck into the owner's driveway, where Davis was taken into custody. The unidentified driver of the truck was charged with reckless driving, The Smoking Gun reported.

Davis - who was arrested just last week for disorderly conduct - is currently jailed on $5,000 bond.
