What could be more “New York” than the sight ofAlicia KeysandJay Z performing “Empire State of Mind” in Times Square?

Lucky onlookers on Sunday night (Oct. 9) got a special “Big Apple” moment when the pair performed the2010 chart-topper ahead of Keys’ new album release,“Here,” on Nov. 4.

Keys also performed alongside Nas, John Mayer and Questlove and dropped acover ofJohn Lennon’s“Imagine” to celebrate the late Beatles great's birthday.
