Alicia Keys And Swizz Beatz Selling Their New Jersey Mansion For $14.9 Million

Chart-topping songstress Alicia Keys and her husband Swizz Beatz are looking to sell their massive 32-room New Jersey compound, once home to Eddie Murphy, for a cool $14.9 million.

The couple is reportedly offloading the property because it’s not big enough. They plan to build an even larger one nearby.

The 25,000-square-foot house sits on a private five-acre Englewood estate and has eight bedrooms, 14 bathrooms, an indoor pool, a gym, a bowling alley, a five-car garage, two elevators and even a recording studio, according to Zillow.

The property is also highly secure, since it’s surrounding by a very tall brick wall.

The “If I Aint Got You” singer bought the mansion justtwo years ago for $12 million and reportedly completed a $2 million renovation, adding an art wing to the property to house her contemporary art collection.

The home was certainly a big step up from the singer’s humble beginnings. Raised by a single mother in Hell’s Kitchen, Keys appeared on “The Cosby Show” at age 4 and then graduated from the Professional Performing Arts School in her old neighborhood.

Keys grew up in Manhattan Plaza, a well-known building that provides affordable housing for artist on 43rd St. off 10th Avenue.

Dennis McCormack of Prominent Properties Sotheby’s International Realty in Alpine has the listing.

Keys and her husband have two children, boys Egypt and Genesis.
