The Midnight Marauders are riding into the sunset.
A Tribe Called Quest just released it's first album in almost two decades, "We Got it from Here… Thank You 4 Your Service." — and it will be their last.
The album, which features luminaries such as Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, Jack White, Elton John and Talib Kweli, and Busta Rhymes, is a sad farewell to member Malik "Phife Dawg" Taylor.
The 45-year-old's passing coming in March due to complications from diabetes, Q-Tip said on "The Tonight Show" that Phife Dawg "left us with the blueprint of what we had to do."
"We completed what will be, obviously, the final A Tribe Called Quest album," he said of the effort available only through streaming sites.
Ironically enough, the title of the album's final track, "The Donald," is not a reference to the recently elected reality TV star. According to Spin magazine, it's a tribute to “Phife Dawg,” whose lesser-known nickname was "Don Juice."
Though the Tribe would release compilations featuring their best works and rare tracks, the massively inventive hip-hop group's last official album was 1998's "The Love Movement."
The group is currently in New York City, set to perform on "Saturday Night Live," with host Dave Chappelle.
