A$AP Bari Reportedly Sued For Sexual Assault

A$AP Bari, a co-founder of the popular hip hop collective A$AP Mob, has been sued for sexual assault by a woman who claims he pulled off her bed sheets, groped her naked body and filmed her while demanding oral sex.

The anonymous woman filed the lawsuit in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Thursday, though she claims the incident happened July 9 at a hotel in London, England.

She alleges Bari — whose real name is Jabari Shelton — “burst” into a hotel room where she was sleeping in the dark, yanked the sheets off her naked body and yelled, “You f--ked my assistant, now you are going to f--k me."

The woman, identified only as Jane Doe, alleges the Harlem native was accompanied by another unidentified man, and that both men recorded the “brazen and violent attack” on their cell phones.

“A$AP Bari kept pulling the sheets off of Jane Doe, exposing her naked body,” the lawsuit obtained by the Daily News states.

The woman, who lives in London, screamed, “No,” and fled to the bathroom, where she tried to close the bathroom door, the lawsuit alleges.

“(She) could not close it completely because A$AP Bari physically blocked it. A$AP Bari then pushed himself into the bathroom and sexually assaulted and battered Jane Doe,” the lawsuit states.

The woman claims Bari continued to threaten her, saying, “I'm going to f--k you, you are going to suck my d--k.”

“Jane Doe was crying and screaming for him to stop. She was terrified that she was about to be raped by A$AP Bari in the presence of other men,” the paperwork reads.

She claims Bari groped her arms, breasts, buttocks and groin, leaving her with physical injuries, including bruises and abrasions.

The woman claims she was “in fear for her life and that she would be the victim of a gangbang rape.”

In July, the footage briefly went viral before it was taken down, prompting Bari to issue a statement calling the clip "misleading."

"We have resolved this issue amicably among all parties as adults. We were friends before this and will remain friends afterwards. Being raised by strong women who taught me to respect everyone, I'm disappointed in the situation as well as myself and will reflect on the situation appropriately," he told Billboard at the time.

In the lawsuit, the woman says Bari eventually kicked her out of the hotel room and into a hallway without allowing her to dress, and that she asked hotel security to call the police.

The woman said she believes police deleted the video off A$AP Bari’s phone as he “objected” and complained of “mistreatment.”

“(He) was by no means apologetic or remorseful for the violent sexual assault,” the lawsuit states.

The woman, who is being represented by celebrity lawyer Marty Singer, claims Bari targeted her because he was angry she had rejected him in a nightclub the previous night.

She claims Bari “used his attorney and publicist to demand” that she release a joint media statement claiming they had “resolved their dispute amicably.”

She claims they threatened to reveal her identity if she did not cooperate.

“Jane Doe refused to give in to their ultimatum that she lie to the media as part of their effort to cover up the sexual assault and refused to be bullied or intimidated,” the legal filing claims.

The lawsuit claims sexual assault and invasion of privacy – and it demands more than $1 million.

Bari, 25, is also the co-founder of the streetwear label VLONE.

The company's partnership with Nike was terminated after the cell phone footage first went viral in July.
