8 YEAR OLD OHIO GIRL WAKES UP TO HER WHOLE FAMILY MURDERED!

An 8-year-old girl in rural Ohio woke up on Saturday morning to find four of her family members had been shot to death in the house overnight.

Police believe the child, whose name has not been released, slept through the shootings.

When she wandered out of her room, with cartoons still playing on her television, she found her mother and 11-year-old sister lying dead in one bedroom and ran to a neighbor’s house.

Authorities arrived on the scene and broke through a lock in one of the home’s other bedrooms to find the child's relative Sonja Stephens, 46, dead in bed, while her other family member George Stephens, 68, had been shot to death while sitting upright in a living room chair.

The number one suspect in the case was Randle Lee Roberts II, another relative of the girl who police said was staying at the family’s home for several months, hiding out from warrants for his arrest on burglary charges.

But as cops in Adams County, Ohio searched for the killer, Roberts was being chased by police officers in Columbus, who were unaware of the murders but ended up on his tail while investigating a call about shots being fired.

Roberts tried to evade the officers in his pickup truck, but was killed in a shootout when he fired on them and they shot back

Authorities said they weren't sure what would have caused Roberts to kill his family.

"We were unaware he was here," Adams County Sheriff Kim Rogers said. "I don't know what set him off."

They are still trying to sort out how everyone is related.
