3 DAYS OF RIOTING IN LONDON OVER A POLICE SHOOTING OF AN UNARMED MAN!

Three days of explosive riots in London ignited mayhem Monday in two other major British cities.
Prime Minister David Cameron was planning to return from his Italian vacation as the country's worst outbreak of clashes since World War II expanded to Liverpool and Birmingham.

Cars were torched and buildings were attacked in Liverpool, while shops in Birmingham were attacked by looters who smashed windows.

The riots kept raging in London as well, with rioters tangling with cops, bashing windows and setting cars on fire in several capital neighborhoods. Three people were arrested on suspicion of the attempted murder of a police officer left hospitalized after he was struck by a car in north London in the early hours of Tuesday.

"What I have seen is pure violence and pure gratuity," Tim Godwin, acting commissioner of London's Metropolitan Police Service, said in a statement. "Myself and my officers will pursue all those engaged in criminality.

"We are seeing communities blighted by the actions of a few."

"Hope these dudes chill out in London," another user posted. "I can understand being mad at the police, but anarchy is not the answer."

The rioters are mostly young people who are communicating through social media and other means. The head of the Metropolitan Police asked for parents to make sure their children were home, not out on the streets, causing mayhem.

"Where are these kids' parents?" another questioned on Twitter.

On Monday night, police temporarily shut off a main road in the London Borough of Hackney, but protesters quickly attacked a patrol car.

"The car windows smashed in seconds; officer only managed to escape crowd," tweeted another.

Reports were being circulated on Twitter of a man being shot in the face and innocent bystanders being attacked amid the unrest.

"Lewisham resident says innocent people \[were\] attacked because they were trying to protect a bus driver," one person tweeted.

Residents said they were terrified to leave their homes and were taking precautions everytime they stepped out their front door.

"As for how I feel - it's pretty scary. There's no real sense of control," Nick Whitford told the Daily News in an email.

"I took off all valuable possessions walking home from work because it's very unpredictable and you just need to err on the side of caution ... "

HOW COME WE DON'T BANG OUT LIKE THAT? WE JUST TAKE IT LAYING DOWN!
