The character is being voiced by Donald Glover the cast was asked to come up with lyrics for the iconic Mario theme song. Glover used his musical talent to invent the perfect words to accompany the tune. He sang, “There’s a mushroom then you go and get it. And sometimes you get a star. Then you go into a tunnel and… ”lover was asked how often he would perform the Yoshi voice out in public. He admitted that he wants to save it for “special occasions” but has already performed the voice for his children because they didn’t believe he was playing Yoshi. “I’m never going to do it in front of anybody,” he said. “I don’t want to ruin… I want it to be Yoshi’s voice.” He went on to explain, “You don’t want it to be like… ‘I thought he was a dinosaur. Not this guy.’”
