WNBA Star Angel Reese Smacks Clipboard Out Of Sky Coach’s Hand

Chicago Sky star Angel Reese was seen smacking one of her coaches’ clipboard out of her hands during a timeout. Sky was playing the Washington Mystics and with both teams tied at 77 with under 30 seconds left in the game, Reese stormed off the court. When the team’s vice president of strength and conditioning, Ann Crosby, attempted to show her something, the 23-year-old slapped the clipboard out of her hand before walking off. It’s unclear what Reese was saying to herself in the heat of the moment. The controversial clip sparked criticism from fans on social media. “Who does Angel Reese think she is?,” one person questioned. Someone else tweeted, “Disrespecting coaches on the sideline sets the wrong tone, especially for someone with a platform that reaches millions of young fans. This isn’t passion. It’s a problem. Others began to compare Reese and her behavior to former college rival, Caitlin Clark. “Caitlin Clark would never,” one tweeted. Another chimed in, “Gotta be a better role model. Caitlin Clark is a great example of one. There were others who defended Reese as one wrote, “Angel Reese doesn’t get enough credit for being EVERYTHING for her team. She the PG, the scorer, the rebounder, the defensive anchor, the enforcer, the vocal leader and, apparently, the coach.” Despite the loss, yesterday’s game was described as “one of Reese’s better performances of 2025” with her finishing with 22 points, 15 rebounds and four assists.
