A week after his bond was revoked following a failed drug test, Young Thug is a free man again.
The rapper, whose real name is Jeffery Williams, was released from jail Thursday morning after spending six days in custody, reports Atlanta’s NBC 11.
As a condition of his release, Thug, 27, must submit to random drug testing twice a week, undergo substance abuse counseling and check in with his probation officer.
“I’m sorry for disobeying the court. I’m sorry for disobeying my [probation officer] and being here again,” he told the judge at the hearing. “I just want to go home with my family and do right.”
Last week the rapper had his bond revoked in his felony drug case and was taken into custody after he failed a drug test.
In September, he was indicted on eight felony charges — including possession and intent to distribute marijuana, methamphetamine and hydrocodone — related to an arrest last fall in the state.
The month before that, Thug was booked on a felony weapons possession charge, stemming from his arrest outside a Hollywood Dave & Buster’s following his joint birthday and listening party.
