YOUNG MOTHER MURDERED ON HER BIRTHDAY IN QUEENSBRIDGE HOUSES!

A young mother was shot and killed by her boyfriend early Saturday while celebrating her 27th birthday in her Long Island City apartment, police said.

Cops found Tara Webb dead in the Queensbridge Houses apartment she shared with her sister and 4-year-old son, police and neighbors said.

The shooter, whose name has not been released, turned the gun on himself, firing two shots in his torso. He survived and is listed in stable condition at New York-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell, cops said.

Webb's best friend, Simone Lewis, 28, told the Daily News she was supposed to be at the party Friday night but cancelled at the last minute.

"Today is her birthday. She would have been 27 today," Lewis said. "She was my best friend. I've known her for seven years, our sons are friends."

"I got the phone call at 7 this morning, I was shocked. I'm lost for words I don't even know what to say," she said. "I was supposed to come here to celebrate her birthday last night, but I had to cancel on her. We were texting each other, my last text from her was at 8:30 p.m."
